Lupe Gomez was a beacon of love, affection, and faith. Lupe's devotion and unconditional love as a mother allowed her to raise three generations of family during her lifetime. She worked as a farm worker for many decades and also spent many years as a caretaker. Lupe's joy came from the smiles and happiness bestowed upon her from her loved ones. She enjoyed family gatherings that included celebrating holidays, birthdays, or just a weekend get together. Lupe's legacy is one of hard work and determination, a testament to the power of love to overcome any obstacle. She worked tirelessly every day to provide the best life possible for her loved ones, never once faltering in her commitment to their happiness and well-being. Lupe's love will continue to ripple through the lives of all who were touched by her kindness and compassion. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever be a guiding light, shining brightly in the memories of those who loved her most.
Lupe was preceded in death by her late husband of 35 years, Casimiro Gomez: her late brothers Joe Gallegos and Frank Gallegos.
Lupe is survived by her 8 children, Margaret Langford, Manuel Perez, Mike Perez, Martha Perez, Spring Lystad, John Jackson, Robert Gomez, and Elena Martinez; her 3 sisters, Gloria Gonzales, Consuelo Gallegos, and Mary Francis Gallegos.
Lupe Gomez also leaves behind 32 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren to cherish her everlasting memory.
A Visitation for Lupe will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
Directly to follow the Visitation, a Rosary Service will occur Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 929 Harvard Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
Immediately following the Funeral Mass, a Committal Service will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 12:45 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 North Blythe Avenue, Fresno, California 93706.
Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Perez, Robert Gomez, Miguel Perez, Jojo Gomez, Matthew James Valenzuela and Jimmy McCurry.
