Joel Richard “Rick” True passed away on Sunday, December 21st, 2025 at approximately 10:15 AM. This date marked the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.
Joel Richard “Rick” True was born in Fresno, California on the morning of August 2nd, 1959 at Fresno Community Hospital to parents Joel Richard and Judy Ann True. Joel “Rick” was the eldest of three sons and is survived by his mother, his two brothers as well as his daughters and his grandchildren.
Rick was a gifted storyteller, he was quick to smile and to laugh and he often inspired others to do the same. He had a very outgoing personality and a very big heart. We will always remember him with great fondness and he will remain in our thoughts and our hearts forevermore.
