Julie was a very involved with the world around. She shared with others her love of various plants and flowers, finding peace and comfort in the great outdoors. Her love and knowledge of plants and flowers lead her to be an original docent and even awarded a lifetime membership with the Shinzen Gardens at Woodward Park in Fresno, California. Speaking of her involvement with her community, she also co-chaired the Toro Nagashi Ceremony alongside her husband Roy for 12 years.
Julie thrived in jobs that could help better others lives and combine her love for the great outdoors. With those 2 points of criteria met, she worked as Personnel for The County of Fresno, Division of Land Acquisition and eventually as a Secretary at Fresno State for the Health Science, Chemistry, Agriculture, and Music Departments. Julie's greatest job of all was being a proud and loving mother to her 2 sons, Greg and Chuck.
Julie is survived by her husband, Roy D. Spina Jr. of Clovis, California; her son Greg Spina and Daughter in Law Jeannie Spina of Grover Beach, California; and her son Chuck Spina of Fresno, California; her grandchild Michelle Spina of Camarillo, California, her grandchild Dan Spina of State College, Pennsylvania, her grandchild Melissa Brown of Coarsegold, California and her great grandchild Cayden Brown of Coarsegold, California.
