Ken was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1960, and attended 4Cs Heald Business College. He had a distinguished career in finance, serving as VP of Finance at Bonner Packing Co., Director of Accounting Services with Dole Dried Fruit & Nut, CFO of Spencer Fruit Company, and Controller with JP Lamborn. Following retirement, he continued to generously share his expertise by providing financial assistance to Trinity Lutheran Church and dedicated his time to church service through the council and pastoral call committee.
In November 2022, Ken and Joetta became part of the Fairwinds retirement community, where he enjoyed meeting new people and creating lasting friendships.
Ken will be remembered for the life he lived and the memories he shared with family and friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and fishing. Throughout his life, he found joy in music through choir and piano and valued his time in Bible study. Each of these interests reflects Ken’s love for nature, music, and faith.
Ken is survived by his wife, Joetta Engelman; his son, Jason Engelman (Pamela); his daughter, Marcie Kunz (Karl); his grandchildren, Matt and Laura Engelman, and Abbey and Pierce Kunz; and his brother, James Engelman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Engelman.
Ken’s life was a testament to his faith, the strength of his family, and the joy he found in friendships. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him.
