You were so special, Miss Darlene. I'm so very glad I got to meet you. Can't wait to make me a batch of chicken corn chowder. Beechwood misses you!

I was so lucky to have Darlene in my life even for just a short while.  She was a glittery star and I'm so happy I saw her shine.

Darlene and family,
You have touched me and my family very deeply. We were family for only a very short time but you will always hold a special place in our hearts like no other. I always made sure I asked Lee to keep us posted on how you were doing. I know you are no longer suffering and are surrounded with all the other angels that went before us!

Darlene, you are and will always be very dear to me.  I will miss you calling me "Ladybug".  You hold a very special place in my heart, especially our mutual love of animals, particularly Sarge.

Even though I never got to meet her, her daughter Janet is my best friend and through her I learned what a special lady she was. I know she will be missed by many.
I am so sorry for your loss. She is always with you in your heart and thoughts. She looks down at you and smiles. You were her rock, Janet.

     When we think of Darlene, we remember her love of animals and her uncommon generosity.  She was such a brave soul to have borne that long and painful illness with such uncomplaining courage.
