Lola was born to John Andrew Barry and Berlie Erma Denny on September 27,1946 in Los Angeles.
Lola came from a large family where she was one of seven children. Soon after graduating from El Monte High School in southern California, she met Charles Noel Badiou, whom she married in 1967. They moved to Clovis the following year to be closer to his family. A couple of years later, they started a family of their own with a daughter named Deann. Later divorced from Charles, Lola married Ronald House in April 1983, in Lake Tahoe.
Throughout her working years, she worked various jobs, but devoted most of her adult life working as a secretary or receptionist. After retirement, Lola spent time sharing life with her daughter and granddaughter. In addition to day-to-day activities, they enjoyed several coastal trips and adventurous family vacations together. Being a grandma aka “Nanny” was so precious to Lola. Participating in her granddaughter’s activities was a priority and always brought her such joy.
Playing games on the computer was her favorite past time, but when an opportunity came along to go to a casino and play real slot machines, she was ready to go! Getting together with family and friends for laughs and a good time brought her happiness.
Lola will be remembered for her giving heart, beautiful warm smile and fun-loving personality that made you laugh. She is now free to fly with the butterflies and swim with the dolphins, two of her favorite things.
Lola is survived by her daughter Deann Williams; her brother Wayne Barry (Lonna) and her brother Robert Barry (Mary); her grandchild Megann Williams.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband Ronald House.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Lola on Saturday October 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, CA.
