Maria Luisa Garza

Maria Luisa Garza was born in Mexico City D.F., Mexico. on April 8, 1926 and passed away on January 6, 2017 at the age of 90. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, and will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mauro Garza, in 1997. She is survived by her eight children, Rosa Young and husband Martin, Maria Elena Garcia and husband Lee, Olga Mireles and husband Ruben, Irma Garza, Mauro Garza and wife Evangelina, Susie Rios and husband Joe, Sandra Sanchez and husband Jose, and Robert Garza and wife Cynthia. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.

Our mom, known as Abuelita to her family, will always be remembered for her spiritual guidance and the nurturing and abundant love she generously gave to everyone. It was very important for Abuelita to pass down her passion for our Mexican culture and traditions. We are all very grateful for her dedication to us, and we will cherish our memories of her the rest of our lives. We feel truly blessed to have had this wonderful and beautiful lady as our mother.
