With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olivia Peña, who left this world on September 8, 2025, in Clovis, California. She was born on January 9, 1976, in Las Varas, Nayarit, Mexico. Olivia was a radiant soul whose presence brought light, Love and strength to everyone around her.

Olivia was the pillar of our family - a woman of extraordinary warmth, resilience, and grace. Her beautiful, welcoming smile and heart of gold were a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. She was selfless in every way, always putting others before herself, and her kindness knew no bounds.

She was a devoted mother to Francisco Alvarez of Madera, California; Esmeralda Alvarez, Kristy Alvarez, and Deanna Alvarez, all of Clovis, California. Her love for her children was fierce and unwavering, and she poured every ounce of her being into raising them with strength and compassion. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Aveyah Alvarez and Cielo Ochoa, who brought her immense joy.

Olivia is also survived by her loving mother, Maria Peña of Mendota, California; her siblings Teresa Avila of Knights Landing, California; Fernando Peña of Clovis, California; Carlos Gonzales of Hanford, California; Antonio Gonzales of Firebaugh, California; and Gladys Leung of Folsom, California. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored her deeply.

She had a gift for making friends wherever she went, and her love and devotion ran deep. Olivia worked with children, a calling that brought her great happiness and purpose. Her nurturing spirit and gentle heart made her a beacon of hope and love in the lives of many.

To know Olivia was to be blessed by her light. She was strong and relentless, even in the face of life’s hardest trials. Her love was unconditional, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence irreplaceable. It was an honor to know her, and a privilege to love her.

Funeral Services

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 1130 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, located at 401 West Fifth Street, Madera, California 93637.

Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery located at 28447 Avenue 14, Madera, California.

Pallbearers honoring Olivia's life will include Antonio Gonzales, Fernando Gonzales, Carlos Gonzales, Francisco Alvarez, Benjamin Perez, and Carlos Gonzales, Jr.

Flowers and Cards

Flowers and Cards are welcome. We kindly ask that NO RED ROSES be purchased, in honor of Olivia’s wishes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. All who knew her and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

Olivia's life was a testament to her strong faith, love for her family, and dedication to her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nació el 9 de enero de 1976 en Las Varas, Nayarit, México. Olivia era un alma radiante cuya presencia traía luz, amor y fuerza a todos los que la rodeaban.

Olivia era el pilar de nuestra familia, una mujer de extraordinaria calidez, resistencia y gracia. Su hermosa y acogedora sonrisa y su corazón de oro fueron una fuente de consuelo y alegría para todos los que la conocieron. Era desinteresada en todos los sentidos, siempre ponía a los demás antes que a sí misma, y su amabilidad no conocía límites.

Fue una madre devota de Francisco Álvarez de Madera, California; Esmeralda Álvarez, Kristy Álvarez y Deanna Álvarez, todas de Clovis, California. Su amor por sus hijos era feroz e inquebrantable, y puso cada onza de su ser en criarlos con fuerza y compasión. Deja atrás muchas sobrinas y sobrinos que la adoraban profundamente.

Tenía el don de hacer amigos dondequiera que iba, y su amor y devoción eran profundos. Olivia trabajaba con niños, un llamado que le trajo gran felicidad y propósito. Servicios funerarios

Se llevará a cabo una misa fúnebre el martes 23 de septiembre de 2025 a las 1130 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica St. Joachim, ubicada en 401 West Fifth Street, Madera, California 93637.

Después del servicio, será enterrada en el cementerio Calvary ubicado en 28447 Avenue 14, Madera, California.
