Paul was born on May 20, 1947 in Clovis California to Margarito and Esther Sandoval, the 2nd youngest of 12. Paul grew up in Clovis California and attended Clovis High School. Throughout life, Paul was known for his friendliness, kindness and generosity. After Graduating High School in 1966 he attended Fresno City College where he was then Drafted to Vietnam.
Paul worked in the Auto Body Repair industry for over 50 years, and took pride in having served his Country in Vietnam and being part owner (alongside his brothers) of Renewal Bodyworks, a well-known Autobody business occupying the corner of Clovis Avenue and Shaw since 1958.
Outside of work, Paul enjoyed building cars, driving his Corvette to the Casino and spending time with his Grandchildren. He was affectionately known as both Grandpa and Papa.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years Patty Sandoval, Son James and his wife Sarah, Step-sons Aaron and Bryan Horne. Grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Evan, Hayden, Liam, Josephine and Ezekiel, 11 Siblings, and countless friends. Paul is preceded in death by his parents Margarito and Esther as well as his brothers Jess, Alex, Lupe, Mark and Sam.
A funeral service will be held on May 5th, 2026 at 10:00AM at the Clovis Cemetery District.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled American Veterans in Paul's name, should you feel inclined.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, his mustache and as one of his doctors so aptly described him "A very pleasant 78 year old gentleman". Paul will be deeply missed and forever loved.
