Richard became a Civil Engineer and worked for Caltrans for 25 years in addition to working for the Fresno Irrigation and private Engineers Braun, Pasillas and Wagner, Inc. Richard was a life member of ASCE.
Richard leaves behind his loving wife Kay who he was married to for 64 1/2 years, his daughter Debbie Campbell of Clovis, California; his son Gerald Schumacher (Tina) of Roseville, California; one granddaughter Katie Campbell of Clovis, California; two sisters, Irene Hansen and Edith Schumacher, and one brother Norman Schumacher of Clovis, California.
Richard enjoyed doing Good Shepherds Mission Endowment until he became ill. Richard had many hobbies. One look at his room says it all!
