California after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Bob is a veteran having served the United States in England during World War II. After
the war Bob married Anna (Ann) Coleman, but they were unable to have any children.
Bob learned the plumbing trade from his father and was an accomplished sprinkler fitter
for many decades. Bob’s first Wife Ann preceded him to the Lord after 28 years of
marriage on August 23, 1977. On July 5, 1980 Bob married Elizabeth (Libby) Adams
and moved to Fredericksburg, Texas, where they were active in the Baptist church, the
Gideon’s, prison bible ministries, and bible study fellowship classes. As age
compromised their vitality, they relocated to Fresno, California to be closer to Libby’s
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his nieces: Cheryl Shelton, Donna Theilen, Barbara Edmonds, Cathy
Lipking and Debbie Edmonds-Phillips, and his second wife, Libby’s children: Robert L.
Adams III, William I. Adams, Sally Pollard, and John R. Adams and their children and
grandchildren.
A graveside service and interment were held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 1847 14th
St., Santa Monica, California on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
