Russ worked for Hyster Company for 35 years. His love of the outdoors drew him to Shaver Lake where he spent several years working as a caretaker for Rock Haven and he also operated as a fishing guide. He loved to hunt and fish and over the years had accumulated many trophies.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Buck and dogs, Ben and Dixie.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Spicer and wife Gloria; Daughter, Carrie Sanchez and husband Dennis; Sons, Timothy Spicer and wife Mary; Robin Spicer and wife Susan; Jeffery Spicer and wife Janice and Tom Spicer; 12 grand children and 3 great grandchildren.
Services to be held at Boice Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
