

Stanley Nelson Simpkins, born on February 20, 1940, in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, to Stewart and Mae (Wilt) Simpkins, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 85. He was a respected resident of Clovis, California.
As a young child, Stanley learned to work with Belgian Horses and carried that passion throughout his life. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. Following his military service, Stanley pursued a career in commercial construction. Known for his versatility and skill, he was able to step in when and where needed. Notably, he was part of the crew who built the original building of Clovis Community Medical Center.
In 1965, Stanley married the love of his life, Gloria. Together, they shared many happy years, enjoying activities such as fishing and hiking. Stanley also loved deep sea fishing off the coast of Monterey. He was an avid sports fan with a particular interest in football, baseball, and horse racing. Known for his dancing skills, Stanley often had ladies lined up to ask him to dance. He maintained his fitness by walking regularly and was familiar to the locals in North Fork who saw him every day.
Stanley's life was marked by his dedication to his work, his love for his family, and his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
