Thomas J. Vowell was born in Oklahoma City, Ok. on July 14, 1932 to Rodney and Gladys Vowell. He passed away on Sunday, September, 26, 2010 in Fresno, Ca. at the age of 78 years. Thomas loved gardening, reading, tinkering with cars, and loved to help others.
Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife Beverly Vowell.
Thomas is survived by his loving family, his wife Nadine Vowell, son, Michael Vowell of Yakima, Wa., daughters, Cheryl Drake and her husband Mark; of Houston, Tx., Kathy Simons and her husband Ron; of Clovis, Ca., and step-daughter, Glenda Hall of Tucson, Az., his brother David Vowell and his wife Janice; of Rolla, Mo. He also leaves his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home, Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Peoples Church in the G.L. Johnson Chapel, at 10:00 a.m. with graveside service at Clovis Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
