Troadio "Eddie" Dela Cruz (aka TAC/Troads/Ed/Eddie/Popsie) joined our Creator on February 6, 2024 in Clovis, California.Troadio "Eddie" was born in Binan City, Laguna, Philippines to Felipa Dela Cruz and Marcelo Dela Cruz.
He was a graduate of Far Eastern University Manila where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Troadio worked as Production Warehouse Supervisor at the Philippine Appliance Corporation in Manila, Philippines.
In 1981 Eddie married the love of his life Cristina, and together, they built a family and a life full of laughter, love and respect. Eddie was a devoted and amazing father to his two beautiful daughters Genevieve Ann and Katrina Joie, a wonderful grandfather to Caeden, Axle, Gavin, Calvin and Casandra and also to his two baby angels in heaven, Kurt and Basti.
Eddie’s life in his younger years was full of vigor and was very active, especially in his workplace and the world around him. He was outgoing and enjoyed being with his brothers and friends, loved fishing and was a strategic chess player. His garlic porkchop's and fried rice were legendary to his daughters and family. He was also a respected mentor, guiding young Engineers in his workplace and instilled love and respect in his grandchildren. His commitment to help in his little way was evident through his contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Cristina Dela Cruz; his daughter Genevieve Ann Dela Cruz-De Guzman (Caedy S. De Guzman); and his daughter Katrina Joie Dela Cruz-Concepcion (Adrian Concepcion); his sister Lily Sagum (Ninoy Sagum), his sister Teresita Manabat (Nori Manabat), his sister Wilma Palaganas (Jimmy Palaganas), his sister Cristina Espinoza (Franco Espinoza), his brother Luis Dela Cruz (Yolanda Dela Cruz), his sister Elnora Escueta (Nilo Escueta), his sister Nadette Cabusora (Ron Cabusora) and his brother Victor Dela Cruz (Dinah Dela Cruz).
Eddie also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Caeden, Axle, Gavin, Calvin, and Casandra who will all cherish his memory. His cousins, nieces and nephews will also feel his absence and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father Marcelo Dela Cruz and his mother Felipa Dela Cruz; his grandchild Kurt Concepcion, and his grandchild Basti Concepcion.
Eddie Dela Cruz will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. His warmth wisdom and the joy he brought to every gathering will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him
A Funeral Service for Troadio "Eddie" will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, California 93612.
