Urho was born in Kalajoki, Finland on April 8, 1926 to Kaarlo and Hanna Siipola. He passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in Clovis, California.
Urho was a carpenter by trade so it was understandable that he enjoyed wood working, and working with his hands. He loved to watch his sons plat Fresno Falcon hockey. He also enjoyed watching track and field and football, and enjoyed fishing and RV travel.
Urho is survived by his wife Aino of Clovis; two wons, Reino Siipola and his wife Jennifer, and Esko Siipola all of Clovis. He also leaves his sister, Aini Korhonen of Finland; and three grandchildren, Ryan Siipola, Stefani Bettencourt and Ashley Piccolo; and two step-grandchildren, Jared and Audrey Clark.
Visitation will be held at Boice Funeral Home on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. til 4:00 P.M.
A Graveside service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.
Remembrances may be sent to donor's favorite charity.
