Arthur Harris Lowrey, of Lake Jackson, Texas, was born Thursday March 9, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Wallace Walker and Marguerite Harris Lowrey and died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in Houston, Texas at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 29 days. Mr. Lowrey worked many years as a Safety Director in the Construction business. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing golf, cooking (eating…) and was always willing to improve upon some ones’ recipe! He loved to visit with people. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Maria Louisa (Gonzalez) Lowrey of Lake Jackson; sons, James Russell Lowrey of Pearland, Armando Galvan of Bay City, Ricardo Galvan of Bay City, Margarito Galvan of Bay City, Eddie Galvan of Sinton; daughters, Heather Koenning of Lake Jackson, Sarah Lowrey of Lake Jackson; brothers, Wallace Walker Lowrey, III of Daphne, Alabama, James Michael “Mike” Lowrey of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caleb, Hannah, Juliet, Margarito, Jordan, Devin, Christian, Cameron, Renee, Rylan, Autumn, Roland, Charissa, Jennifer, Christopher, Debbie, Trishelle, EJ and Anthony. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park Garden of Peace Mausoleum with Mike Lowrey, Glen Davis, James “Rusty” Lowrey, Armando Galvan, Eddie Galvan and Mark Koenning serving as pallbearers. The family has requested that memorial contributions in memory of Arthur Harris Lowrey be made to Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas.
