Bessie Marie (Kesee) Johnson

Bessie Marie Johnson was born on October 6, 1941 in Kinney, Texas to J.D. and Mandy Jackson Kesee, and passed away on Thursday July 25, 2013 in Lake Jackson, Texas at the age of 71. Mrs. Johnson was a teacher for the Brazosport ISD for over 30 years at the Jane Long Elementary School in Freeport, Texas. Her joy in life was her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father J.D. Kesee. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Reuben Johnson of Lake Jackson, Texas, by her mother Mandy Kesee of Brenham, Texas, by her two sons; Marcus Eric Johnson of Waco, Texas and Michael Eugene Johnson of Dallas, Texas, by her daughter, Anita Baker and her husband Larry of Houston, Texas, by her two brothers; John Kesee and Bobby Kesee, both of Lake Jackson, Texas, and her three sisters; Patsy Traylor, Jimmie Williams, and Melba Twiggs, all of Brenham, Texas, and by her four loving grandchildren; Mia Baker, Laila Baker, Kayla Baker, and Elijah Johnson. There will be a Wake Service at Restwood Funeral Home on Friday August 2, 2013 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be on Saturday August 3, 2013 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Clute, Texas at 11:00am with Rev. Charles Jones Sr. as minister. Pallbearers will be; John Kesee, Bobby Kesee, Charlie Hawkins, Dail Ballard, Theron Jones, Cedric Keith Johnson, Earl Lacy, and Burnice Black. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park.
