Clarice (Crowley) "Nana" Lowery

Clarice Crowley Lowery “Nana” passed from this life February 9, 2012. She was a resident of Clute throughout her life. She was a homemaker and “Nana” to family and friends and loved by all. She was born to David Strickel Crowley and Dagma Mitchell Crowley on February 22, 1915. She was married to Lonnie Lowery for 50 yrs+. Together they had three sons, David (Sonny) Lowery (Laverne), Harold (Buddy) Lowery and James Ben (Benny) Lowery. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie; son, Buddy; her parents; two sisters and three brothers. Surviving her are 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she cherished. She also leaves behind her best friends at the First Baptist Church of Clute where she was a member for 80 years. In 1993 she was recognized by the church for her 60 years of service. Nana you will be missed and in our hearts forever. We love you. Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Duane Phy officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Nana, be made to the S. P. C. A. of Brazoria County, 141 Canna Lane, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566.
