Clemente Garcia Jr.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clemente Garcia Jr. A lifelong resident of Clute, Texas passed away February 2, 2024, surrounded by his family. A beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and Nino (Godfather). He was the husband of Myrna, they shared 26 years of marriage.

Born on July 2, 1972, in Brownsville, Texas to Clemente and Silvia Garcia. Clemente was the second of six children. He worked for many years in the chemical industry as a Pipefitter. Recently he was employed by Zachary Group working at LNG, he always talked about how much he loved his job and everyone he worked with.

Clemente loved spending time with his family and friends, but his favorite pastime was fishing with his son and best friend, Johnny. Riding Johnny’s monster truck to the best fishing spot. There was never a bad day of fishing for Clemente. He was an active member of The Rock Church in Clute. Clemente loved the time he spent being Pastor Evans’ go to man, it didn’t matter if it was carpentry work, cutting down a tree or just enjoying breakfast with him. He even introduced Pastor Evans to “migas” and always made sure Sis. Evans had donuts to enjoy.

Clemente is proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents and sisters Maria de Lourdes Garcia and Alma Alicia Garcia. He leaves behind his beloved wife Myrna and their son Clemente III, his parents Clemente and Silvia; siblings Diana Solis (Javier), Hilda Rodriguez (Jason), Edgar (Vanessa), numerous nieces and nephews, God children and other family and friends.

Clemente had a special bond with Guadalupe Garza, better known as Lupis, the bond they shared was full of love and understanding. She loved sitting and chatting with him which always turned into a comedy session, she enjoyed their time together till the very end. He had a special talent of telling jokes and making others laugh. There was never a dull moment when he was around.

A celebration of life will take place at First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson 401 Yaupon St Lake Jackson, Texas. Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson with burial services immediately following at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Tx.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Edgar Garcia, Javier Solis Jr., Alexander Hernandez, Victor Casas, Jaime Garcia, Americo Rios, Johnny Garcia, and Roland Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clemente Garcia III, Manuel Soria and Guadalupe Lupis Garza. Special speakers: Rev. Ronald Evans, Rev. Tijerina, America Garcia, Rev. Maldonado, Rev. Gilbert Guel, Rev. Chapa and Rev. Jeffrey Smith.
