Darlene was best known to those closest to her as “Aunt Nubby”. She lived a simple yet remarkable and long life. It was full of memories and stories that she was happy to share with whoever cared to listen. It was impossible to resist her captivating smile and her endearing heart. She rarely met a stranger and she was proud to be a resident of the Texas coastal area. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, traveling, crocheting, antiques, cooking, bingo, and just too many other things to list. She was especially fond of animals. She dearly loved family and friends hosting and attending as many gatherings as a person could throughout the years. She was the keeper of our family history always attempting to preserve every moment possible of those she loved in photo and film. We will cherish not only our memories of her, but all her efforts by passing all she preserved and the stories she shared to the generations that follow.
