David Joseph Konvicka, 72, of Lake Jackson TX passed away July 18 2015 in Houston TX. David was born on February 18 1943 to Emil & Mary Katherine Konvicka in Corpus Christi TX. David married Sherry Upton in Houston TX in August of 1973.
David spent more than thirty years in his career working with Dow Chemical as he provided for his family. David was a jack of all trades who could (and did) fix anything. He loved woodworking, travelling, and spending time volunteering with his church – Saint Michael the Archangel Parish – where he was a devoted member for most of his life.
Preceding David in death is his beloved wife, Sherry Konvicka.
Surviving David are his three children; son Matthew (Christina) Konvicka, daughters Jennifer (Brian) Hawken and Julie Konvicka; granddaughters Anna Konvicka and Eliza Konvicka; grandson Andrew Hawken; brother Robert Konvicka; sisters Margaret Freeze and Sandra Hrabovsky.
Visitation will be held at 6pm on July 22 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson. Rosary will be recited at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on July 23 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson.
Following the funeral mass, David will be laid to rest in Restwood Memorial Park.
