Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She never said no to a game of cards. Dorothy was an active member of First Baptist Church Lake Jackson and worked at the Post Office before retirement. Dorothy loved all of her friends and family, and enjoyed cooking for and feeding them, especially around the holidays. She is greatly loved and missed.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Gilliam Sr. and daughter, Julie Moradi.
Survivors include grandchildren Shelley & Stephen Forse, Robbie & Bianca Gilliam, Matthew Gilliam, Allen Moradi; great-grandchildren James, Isabella, Ethan, Max, Bobby, and Luke.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will take place on Friday, March 28th at First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, 401 Yaupon St. Lake Jackson, TX 77566 at 1 pm. Visitation will be held from 12 pm to 1 pm at the First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson. Resting place ceremony will immediately follow at Restwood Cemetery.
