E. Aleene Cook Hutson, 89, of Conroe, TX passed away April 26, 2012 and is now rejoicing in the loving arm of Jesus. Aleene was born in Nacogdoches, TX on November 18, 1922 to Ellis and Lottie Cook. Aleen and Guy Hutson were married March 25, 1939. After living in Nacogdoches and then a few years in San Diego, CA while Guy was in the Navy, they moved to Lake Jackson in the 50’s where she lived until she moved to Conroe in 2006 to live close to her daughter. Aleene was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise her two daughters. She was involved in many activities during her lifetime. She enjoyed being a homemaker, was a superb cook and accomplished seamstress. She was a member of several bridge clubs and played dominoes. She took pleasure in gardening and loved the many flowers that resulted from her green thumb. She loved to read and passed the same appreciation of literature to her daughters. As an adult she was an active member of Richwood Baptist Church. Her passion was her family and she was always happiest when she could spend time with them. Aleene was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charlie Guy Hutson, and her daughter, Rebecca Hutson Knepley. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Franck and husband Carl of Conroe, Granddaughter, Amanda Knepley Dorland and husband Chip of Austin and grandson, Scott Rimato and wife Judy of Spring. Also her granddaughters Courtney and Hannah Rimato and great-great grandaughter Hayden Glidden. Also brothers Melvin and Wayne Cook and sisters Gladys Henderson, Frances Campbell, Mildred Vaughn and Jeanette Burks and many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Caitlin Motte and Kim Ross for their kind and loving care of Aleene during her years at Helen’s Care Cottages in Conroe. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be Monday, April 30, 2012, at Restwood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 1:30pm prior to service.
