Pauline came into this world with her twin brother Paul on December 13, 1929, to Roxye Mae and James Perry Pugh in the small town of Morris Chapel, Tennessee.
Due to her mother’s health, the family moved to West Columbia, Texas in 1935. It was here, she grew up with her brothers and dad after losing her mother at a young age. She would often tell stories of the loving friendships she had with Josephine, Marilyn, Evie and Ann. These girls were her strength and support among her brood of brothers.
Pauline was a loving wife, mother and Meme. Her devotion to her family was like no other. She was married to the love of her life, Norman Turner, for 39 years, until his death in 1996. They raised five daughters together in a loving, Christian home. They left an amazing legacy that they were so proud of.
The pride she held for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in the stories she would tell to anyone who would listen. However, the most important thing to her was that they all had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
In 1974, she joined Mary Kay Cosmetics becoming one of the first consultants in the area. Her success in Mary Kay led to many lifelong friendships and pink Cadillacs. On any given day you would find her kitchen table filled with friends getting facials, drinking coffee, talking and laughing. Her kitchen table was the hub of Lake Jackson for many years. Pauline’s skin was a testament to 50 years of faithful skincare; she was beautiful inside and out. Her loyalty and kindness were felt by all. She was a good friend to so many, a true class act, a Godly lady, and everyone who knew her loved her. We are grieving a great loss, but we know we will see her again.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roxye Mae and James Perry Pugh; her husband, Norman Turner; her daughter, Linda Cain; and all her siblings, Roy, Lucille Bates (John), Pud (Rae), Lloyd (Billie), Billy (Bonnie), Paul and twin siblings who passed at birth.
She is survived by her daughters: Valorie Paladino (Mike), Terri Rikard (Mark), Tracy Wallace (Kevin), and Tammy Cornor (John); her grandchildren: Mark Paladino (Lacey), Laura Cain (Damaris), Matt Paladino, Josh Cain (Crystal), Bryan Hall (Hanna), Russell Hall (Tara), Travis Griffin (Kinzie), Morgan Cornor (Stephanie), Kelly Curtis, Taylour Moon (Trevor), Nikki Rikard, Jake Cornor, Sydney Wallace, Max Cornor (Tory), and Tyler Cornor. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
The family would like to thank all the loving and dedicated staff of Sodalis Lake Jackson, Country Village Rehab and Choice Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Clute (101 E Brazoswood Drive, Clute, TX) on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11am.
