I love you Floyd. Save me a seat brother.

Sorry to hear about Floyd. I only knew him a short time, but he was a good man and great to talk with. Sorry for your family's loss. Heaven gained a great addition

I met Floyd in 7th grade. He was my first friend moving to Clute in 1977. We spent many of weekends at his parents house and shop. The first carpet job his dad sent him on, I went with him.  His sister Jennifer joined us on a weekend trip to Lake Livingston to put carpet in a friend's trailer.  We had to cut out the old carpet which is hard in a trailer because the walls are built on top of the carpet. Anyway, when we laid the carpet we cut it wrong in the bedroom doorway. So we cut little pieces up and nailed them to the floor. I was laughing so hard. I told Floyd that the lady better not have a good vacuum cleaner because she would suck the whole damn carpet off the floor. I still laugh at that today. Damn, you will be missed my friend. 

Krispy Kreme donuts and Billy Ray Cyrus… that’s how Jamee and I became best friends over 20 years ago..  and it wasn’t long before Floyd named me, ‘Haley Ray Cyrus’, his ‘adopted’ daughter. He was one of the good ones and my life is exponentially greater for having known him.

Floyd Will truly be missed. He has taught me so much over the 8 years I have got to work with him. He has called me his adopted sister and would call me just to tell me he loved me. My family and I Will greatly miss him. We are so very sorry for your loss. 

Such great pictures. Thank you for sharing.  We remember so many of those days.   Floyd was always smiling and had a twinkle in his blue eyes.   I remember him being so welcoming on my first visit to Texas.    He always said, with laughter “Your my favorite sister in law”.  Rest in peace dear Floyd.   Craig always loved you and thought  of you as a big brother.  He cherished your days together.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Floyd. Mine are mainly childhood memories growing up next door to you all, Harris family on Kyle Road. My heart goes out to all especially his daughters and grand babies. Thanks for the photos of his life. My thoughts are with you.

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness writing this. Floyd has been the most impactfull person in my life. With out his words of encouragement and willingness to teach I wouldn't be half as far as I am today. It breaks my heart knowing he won't be calling to tell me about something cool he's done or listening to one of his stories. He always inspired and gave positive advice. His heart was as true as his words. The world will never be the same with out him. I send my condolences and love to his family. May God lay his hand on the family and friends in these hard times and help to find comfort in such a loss. He beat to the sound of his own drum and carved his own path one in which he shared with anyone who walked it with him. I will forever be in dept to the knowledge and friendship he shared. May God have a boat and a pole waiting for him.
