Lisa Ann Thomas

On Tuesday August 9th, we lost a ray of sunshine. Lisa Drake-Thomas had a laugh that won't be forgotten, a smile that will truly be missed, and a heart that will continuously inspire all that she touched.

Lisa was born on January 13, 1962 in Liberty Texas. It was apparent early on that she took after her Daddy. She was organized, dedicated and goal oriented; though she is probably most remembered for her vivacious spirit and her outgoing personality. Lisa never met a stranger.

She was a friend to all and she had a sense of humor that was impossible not to like. Lisa had a love for dancing that she made sure to share with her two sons, Keith and Ti-Ray. Her boys were her world. No matter their age, Lisa loved to dote on them and offer up the occasional back scratch. She beamed with love and pride every time she talked about them, and there is no doubt that she felt as though they were her greatest accomplishment. Lisa had a way with children. She loved them and they loved her back. So, it was no surprise to see how absolutely thrilled she was to find out that her first grandbaby is expected to arrive in January. Lisa's strength and her passion for life and people, will live on through her family and her friends, whom she loved so dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Thomas; her mother, Maudlynn Drake; her son and daughter in law, Keith and Kristin Setzer; her son and daughter in law, Marvin (Ti-Ray) Setzer and Trisha Rice; her grandbaby, 'Peanut' Setzer; her two step-daughters, Kiley and Jessica Thomas; her step-granddaughters Keira and Crysten Short; her sister, Julie Creekmore (Fred); her brother, Richard Drake; her nieces, Lindsey Graff (Ivan), Jacqueline Calhoun (Johnny), Kimberly Solis (Harvey), and Ricy Stone (Trent); her great nephews, Ethan, Caleb and Logan Solis and Triston Stone, as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Lisa is preceeded in death by her "Daddy", Richard Drake and her grandparents, Maude and Arthur Broussard and Emma and Aubrey King.

A visitation of Family and Friends was held on Thursday August 11th 2016 at 6pm at Restwood Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 12th 2016 at 10am, with Deacon Gary Forse conducting.

Pallbearers will be Keith Setzer, Ti-ray Setzer, Brent Buckheit, Dan Clepper, Josh Martin, and TJ Broussard.
