Lockie Lou Byrd

Lou graduated from Sterling High School in Sterling Oklahoma. After High School she attended Beauty School and began working as a Beautician in San Antonio, Texas. During that time, she met and married Robert K. Byrd, and together they raised three sons. They were married for over 25 years.

Later in life, she worked in childcare at a local Day Care Center. She also had a passion for sewing and lovingly made blankets, afghans or quillows for many that she encountered. Lou was a long-time member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by Jake and Vivian Curry, Cade and Mickey Curry, Curtis “Hotshot” and Rita Curry and Robert K. Byrd.

She is survived by her children and their spouses - Glenn and Elida Byrd, Mark and Christine Byrd, David and Tina Byrd. Grandchildren - Christopher Wayne Byrd, Megan Nicole Byrd, Jennifer Ann Byrd, Jacob Holton Byrd, Justin Lee Byrd, Emma Christine Byrd, Samuel Thomas Byrd, Steven Maxwell Byrd. Great Grandchildren – Tyler Kaleb Blackstone and Matthew Allen Byrd.

A visitation will take place at Restwood Funeral Home on April 17th, 2026 at 10 A.M. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. The Burial will take place afterwards at Restwood Memorial Park.
