Margaret Rae Groves

Margaret Rae Groves, 78 (Mom, Grammy, and Great Grammy) of Lake Jackson TX went home to the Lord on March 4, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Saturday March 19, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Margaret was the head nurse of pediatrics at the Dow Community Hospital and Brazosport Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She lived her life always caring for any child she met.

She is preceded in death by her husband Chester Ellett Groves and her parents Clifford and Margaret Wierth.

She is survived by her brother Dean Wierth, wife Betty and their children Clifford, Bruce and Summer.

Daughter: Margaret Keenom, husband Larry Keenom and children Stephen Paulson (wife Jessica and daughter Iris) Zachary Freeman (wife Kayla and son Sammy)

Son Clifford Groves, wife Denise and their children Skyllar, Paige and Davis.

Children of her heart include: Calvin, Toni, Alexis, Mandi, Barbie, Joshua, Brittany, Dale, Darrell, Mickie, Lysta, Trey, Chris, Emily, Zoey, Gage, Kale, Shannon, Verma, Stuart, Crystal and endless others.

We would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alkesh C. Amin, Dr. Henry Martinez and all the nurses in ICU and staff at Brazosport Regional Health System. They provided truly wonderful care to her.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Southwest SIDS Research Institute.
