Mary Elizabeth Sherman, of Freeport, Texas was born June 10, 1924 in Houston, Texas to Lucile (Patton) and Lawrence A. Blount and died January 17, 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 7 days. Mary was a teacher with the Brazosport Independent School District for 36 years, retiring in 1988. She married Robert Lee “Ray” Sherman on January 16, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence A. Blount and Edgar B. Blount. She is survived by her nephew, Larry Blount and a cousin, Caryl Theriot.
