Nancy Calzada Rodriguez, 83, of Freeport, Texas went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2020. Nancy was born on July 30, 1937, in Port Lavaca, Texas to the late Louis and Rosa Calzada. Nancy was a devoted Mother and Homemaker. She was also a devoted Catholic at the St. Mary’s Star of Sea Catholic Church.

Nancy Calzada Rodriguez is survived by her children, Trinidad (Lili) Rodriguez Jr., Richard (Diana) Rodriguez, Jose (Linda) Herrera, Mary (Mike Westerman) Howard, David (Barbara Granado) Rodriguez, RoseMary (Edward) Olivares, Valentine (Jennifer Brennan) Rodriguez, Diana (Luis) Saucedo, Terri (Michael Schepper) Rodriguez and Elizabeth Opperud; her sisters, Nora Dabbs, Teri Serna, Delores Del Torro, Rosa Garcia; her brothers, Luis Calzada Jr. and John Calzada.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Trinidad Rodriguez Sr.; her parents, Louis and Rosa Calzada; her daughter, Patricia Ann Sheffler; granddaughter, Trisha Lynn Rodriguez; her sisters, Mary Gloria Garza, Victoria Rodriguez, Josephine Calzada; and her brother, Julian Calzada.

Pallbearers will be Alfredo Guerra Jr., David Rodriguez Jr., Edward Hector Olivares, Brandon Gilbert Olivares, Luis Anthony Saucedo, Cory Allen Sheffler, Nicolas Edward Saucedo and Averi Lee Lopez.

Visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Star of Sea Catholic Church in Freeport on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 with Rosary starting at 1:30 p.m. and Mass starting at 2:00 p.m., with the burial to follow at a later date at Restwood Memorial Park.
