Ollie Lee Russell

Funeral services for Ollie Lee Russell will be held Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Restwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Ollie was born May 11, 1939 in Edgewood, Texas to Ollie Robert and Margie Russell and entered into eternal rest on July 15, 2010 in Sugarland, Texas. Ollie was raised in Boles Home, Quinlan, Texas and graduated from High School at Boles Home. Ollie was an active participant during this time, President of Student Council, President of FFA, and Captain of his school team. Ollie worked in construction in the Brazosport area before becoming involved in child care. He was a licensed administrator for Brazoria County Youth Home before becoming Administrator for Kidz Harbor in Liverpool, Texas. Ollie and Nicki Russell lived in Missouri City, Texas and were members of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Meadows Place, Texas. Ollie lived a life of service to children and loved his work and the children under his care. He was a giving considerate man and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched in so many ways. During his time of employment as an administrator, Ollie received many awards of achievements for his work in child care. Ollie is survived by his loving wife, Nicki Russell; sons, Michael E. Russell, Scot and Carol Russell, Barry and Cyndi Russell, Paul R. Russell and Andrew Russell; siblings, Dennis and Pat Russell, Jimmy and Vickie Russell, Georgetta and Jerald Novak, Brenda Caraway, Nancy and Rufino Reyna, Roger Dale Russell and Marvin Russell; grandchildren, Christopher and Tristan Russell, Kayci Russell, Scotie Russell, Cody and Carly Russell, Randa and Philip Middleton, Lauren and David Hatton, Blake Russell, Stephen Glen Russell, Ryan and Brandi Plummer, Justin Russell and Dylan Russell; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends also survive. Ollie is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Lee Russell, his father and mother and by his brothers, Stephen Vincent, Jerry don and Robert Russell. Pallbearers will be Chris Russell, Justin Russell, Stephen Glen Russell, Scotie Russell, Ryan Plummer, Philip Middleton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Damian, Bruce Colbert, Art Cummings and the children at Kidz Harbor. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Jim H Green Kidz Harbor Inc in Liverpool, Texas.
