Richard Rangel

Richard proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1957. Richard was an electrician by trade and he spent many years working in maintenance before retiring from BISD.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Fela Rangel; his siblings, Mandy Randolph, Robert Rangel, Santos Rangel Jr., and Josephine Kouches; and also his children, Ray Rangel, Ronald Rangel, and Robert Rangel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Caroline Ugarte Rangel; his children, Rod Rodriguez Rangel, Regina Rangel, and Raquel Rangel; his stepchildren, Sonya Rodriguez, Roberta Padilla (Isauro), and Fabian Reyes (Yolanda); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard is also survived by his siblings, Becky Berlanga (Monty), Rachel Juarez (Joe), and Helen Romero (Joe).

Services will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W. Plantation Dr., Clute, Texas 77531, on February 7, 2026. A rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m., with visitation to follow. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m
