

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Dale Fogle, who left this world on January 23, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 16, 1941, in Luling, Texas, Robert lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He spent his final days at Sweeny Community Hospital, where he received kind and compassionate care from the medical staff.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ona Mae Fogle, father, Willie (Bill) Fogle, sisters Judy Deriso and Betty Cahoon, brother Billy Eugene Fogle, as well as nephew Jeff Stavinoha and niece Deb Urbanski. He is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce Ann Fogle, with whom he shared a loving marriage for 60 remarkable years. Together, they built a legacy of love and family that will endure for generations.
Robert was a proud father to his three children: Laura Fogle Windsor and her husband Clint Windsor, Randall Fogle and his wife Chyna, and Russell Fogle and his wife Shelley. His family expanded with the addition of grandchildren Kevin and his wife Whitney Fogle, Brandon Fogle, Brendan Bodie and his wife Kristen Windsor, Delaney Windsor, Sabrina Fogle and fiancé Dustin Simmons, as well as Kaden and wife Shay Fogle, and Kolten Fogle. Robert found immense joy in his five great-grandchildren: Hunter, Chance, Maeleigh, Waylon, and Olivia. Each family gathering was a testament to the strength of the family bonds he so lovingly nurtured.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Robert served his country with honor and pride. After his military service, he dedicated over 33 years to the Dow Chemical Company, where he became known for his work ethic and commitment to excellence. Robert was a kind and caring man, embodying the spirit of protection and love for those he held dear. He was well known for his wit and humor, often brightening the day with his playful banter and infectious laughter. A true weather enthusiast, he was often referred to as the family’s personal weatherman.
In his spare time, Robert indulged in his passion for nature and wildlife. He was an avid lover of animals and a remarkable caretaker, often bringing home baby birds, opossums, raccoons, and squirrels to nurture back to health. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as hunting and fishing, and always took joy in watching the birds that frequented his backyard.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to his niece Kelly Park as well as the wonderful nurses and doctors at Sweeny Community Hospital for their kindness and care during Robert’s last days. A special thank you is extended to the Care Builders team for their unwavering support and the Angel Care Nurses for their compassionate in-home care. The family also wishes to acknowledge Dr. Amin and his team for the wonderful care throughout Robert's later years.
His grandson’s Kevin, Brandon, Bodie, Kaden, Kolten and Dustin will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are his two eldest great grandsons Hunter and Chance.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on January 30, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a man whose love and light touched so many lives.
Robert Dale Fogle will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
