Ruth Hawley

Ruth Hawley, 49, of Lake Jackson TX passed away on Sunday, July 11th. Ruth was born on February 15, 1972 in Piedras Negras Mexico to Blanca Aguaristi Rendon and Alberto Gonzalez. In 1977, the Gonzalez family moved to Freeport where Ruth established deep roots and many lasting friendships.

Ruth had an eye for style and unique artistic talent. On any day of the week, you could find her making items for an event, decorating her house, or simply creating something just because she thought someone would like it. She loved spending time with family and friends around town or in her backyard. Most of all, Ruth’s favorite pastime was spending time with the love of her life, Steve Hawley.

Ruth is preceded in death by her grandmother Esther Aguaristi, her father-in-law Roy Hawley, and her brother-in-law Randy Hawley.

She is survived by her husband Steve Hawley, daughters Kristen and Erin, mother Blanca Rendon, siblings Perla Alford, Juan Gonzalez, Cindy Starkey, mother-in-law Janice Hawley and stepfather Robert Rendon. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Steve Alford, Jake Starkey, and Michael Lieb, sisters-in-law, Laura Gonzalez, Pam Hawley, Tammy Burton, and Letha Pearson, nieces and nephews Alexandra Gonzalez, Bryan Pearson, Caleb Starkey, Candace Lunsford, Chris Bell, Frank Mallory, Gary Pearson, Joey Bennet, Julian Lunsford, Lynae Bennet, Peyton Hawley, Shana Burton, Sydney Counts, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Life will be held at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 W Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531, at noon on Tuesday July 20th with a reception following at the Lake Jackson Civic Center, 333 TX-332, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. Visitation will be held Monday, July 19th from 5pm-7pm at Restwood Funeral Home.
