Sonya Cay Brashear

Sonya Cay Brashear, “Buggy” 58, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2025. Born on May 29, 1966, Sonya was a woman of unwavering strength, resilience, and deep love for her family and friends. She faced life’s challenges head-on with determination and an unbreakable spirit, inspiring all who knew her.

Known for her strong will and fierce loyalty, Sonya was never one to back down from any challenge or what she believed in. She was a pillar of strength for those around her, offering support, wisdom, and an ever-present sense of warmth. Her kindness, quick wit and sense of humor left a lasting mark on her family and friends.

She is survived by: her “pumpkin”, Darin Logue, daughter, Casey Moran and husband Blake, daughter, Jessie Reyes and wife Jessica, son Dillon Reyes and wife Dao Dao, her grandchildren: Cason Buswell, Kamryn Moran, Bryce Moran, Austin Reyes and many cherished friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on February 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Restwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Clute, Texas.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her legacy of strength, love, and determination will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
