Trena Sue Moses "Maw Maw"

Trena was born to Opal and Cecil Hilliard on October 25th, 1944 in Sealy, Texas.

Trena married Paul Moses in Refugio, Texas on December 31st, 1965. The two were each other’s lifelong partners, friends, and soul mates. They were blessed with two children: Sue and Wade.

Trena was an avid reader, gardener and knitter. She was an amazing cook and loved to find new recipes and desserts to make for her family. She was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she was on the admin board, led bible studies with her dear friends, and helped wherever she was needed. If she was not participating in one of these activities, she was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of our beloved pets whom she loved unconditionally with her whole heart.

Trena is preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Cecil Hilliard, her sister, Joella Tausch, and her brother, Mike Hilliard.

Those left to cherish Trena’s memory include her husband, Paul Moses, daughter, Sue (David) Scott; son, Wade (Wendy) Moses; granddaughter, Caitlin (Skyler) Cartwright; grandson, Weston (Sydney) Scott; granddaughter, Abby Moses; great granddaughters Lily and Breelynn Cartwright and brother Jack Hilliard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 3:00 pm at Restwood Funeral Home. There will be a reception following the service at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson.
