

HELEN LOUISE LACEY passed away on November 29, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado and moved to Coalinga, California in 1949 to teach elementary school. Helen retired from teaching in 1986.
Helen excelled in academics, music and sports in high school and college. She received a full scholarship to Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado and was a member of their Alumni. Helen thoroughly enjoyed her occupation as a teacher and spoke highly of her students and her fellow teachers. She graciously greeted everyone she met with a kind word and a smile. Living in the same house for 50 years her neighbors were like part of the family. Helen was a loving and caring person to everyone she met. Helen was a member the St. Paul’s Altar Society, PTA, California Retired Teacher’s Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
Helen is survived by her brother and his wife: Chuck & Kay Burris, sons and their wives: Charles & Jolene Lacey; Jim & Nanette Lacey; daughters and their husbands: Mary & Edgar Johns; Joan & Mike Caskey; grandsons: Dan Johns, Mike Johns, Eric Caskey, Matt Caskey, Ryan Lacey; granddaughters: Kristin Lacey & Michelle Glenn; great granddaughters: Ella Caskey & Madison Glenn; great grandson: Ryan Glenn; nephews: Mike Lacey, Chuck Burris, Dave Burris, Tom Burris; and niece: Pat Burris. She is preceded in death by her husband: Jack Lacey and daughter: Anne Lacey Raymond.
