

William Adolph “Bud” Kreyenhagen passed away December 8 th , 2015 in Santa Maria, California, where he recently moved to be near his son and daughter. Bud was a fourth generation Kreyenhagen in Coalinga for all of his 84 years. He grew up on a ranch and was in the farming and cattle businesses. After attending Coalinga Junior College, he married his High School sweetheart and went into the Navy where he served as Enginemen D First Class on the U.S.S. Grainger during the Korean War. This was the ship that was part of the invasion fleet landing the marines on Inchon during the war, one of the most successful amphibious operations in history. Bud worked for Union Oil Co. and also the Coalinga School District. He was a Ruling Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Coalinga, a Mason, and a Fresno County Deputy Sheriff Reserve in the 1970’s. He served as President of Kreyenhagen Inc. for over 20 years and was also
on the board of the Pleasant Valley Water District. Bud was a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid hunter, sportsman, and loved working on automobiles and small engines. If he couldn’t find a repair part, he would make it. He loved to travel and was an amateur photographer and HAM Radio operator (KB6AIR).
Bud was married sixty-four years to his lovely wife, Beverly (Roberts) Kreyenhagen. He leaves behind- Beverly; two children: Kenneth E. Kreyenhagen and Victoria Cain; two sisters: Verna DenHartog and Thea Schweitzer (husband Rev. Gordon Schweitzer); five grandchildren: Nicholas Spier, Christopher Spier, Michelle Merino, Todd Kreyenhagen, and Bret Kreyenhagen; four nephews and two nieces. Bud loved Jesus, many from the Coalinga community, and his family very much.
