Benny H. Bland, 87, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Bland passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012.
Benny was retired from Bellsouth, where he was a co-founder of the Telephone Pioneers, and he also served his country in the US Army during WWII.
Survivors include his son, Bruce D. (Shelia) Bland of Cocoa Beach; sister, Thoris Youmans of Georgia; granddaughter, Jamie Bass; and two great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 1 PM - 2 PM followed by funeral services at 2 PM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Cocoa, FL. Burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Benny's name to Wuesthoff Hospice House, Rockledge, FL.
