In the mid-1960s, Ms. Flowe moved to Cocoa, Florida, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was employed at the Kennedy Space Center for nearly forty years and retired in 2006.
Ms. Flowe was an active member of the Unity Church of Merritt Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William B. Higgs, Sr. and Mary A. Higgs. She is survived by her brother, William B. Higgs, Jr. of Cocoa, Florida; her sister, Melodie Squire of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and her longtime significant other, Sam Bartorillo of Cocoa,
Florida.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N. Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, Florida. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Cocoa Memorial Park, 320 Spring Street, Cocoa, Florida.
