Merritt Island
Danny Day, Merritt Island, born October 1950 and was at home with his family until January 2, 2012. He was quiet man with a great strength, sense of humor and love of life.
Danny shared his love for music by making it such an integral part of his life. From rock, to country and Celtic, his enthusiasm for music was contagious.
Born in Corpus Christie, Texas, Danny traveled the US and Trinidad with his late Navy Chief and father, Richard; mother, Faye; and sister, Linda. The Day family settled in Florida in 1960. Danny graduated from Merritt Island High in 1968 and in 1972 met his wife of 38 years, Jackie. He, his wife, and their children, Raymond and Jenny, spent several years in TN before coming back to Florida and opened his business, DF Woodworks, which his son, Raymond, continues to run in his father's absence. Son-in-law, Bill, and daughter-in-law, Sunny, were as special to him as his own children, sharing in his love for outdoor adventures in the mountains, birds, and of all things Disney.
Danny's love was always strong for his family, God, and the many loved ones that surround him even now. May God bless and keep him always.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 7 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 N. US Hwy. 1, Cocoa.
