Surrounded by family, Doris Petrocelli peacefully returned to God after 81 years. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas, and daughter Deborah, Doris is lovingly remembered by her surviving children Thomas Petrocelli, Elizabeth Turner, and Daniel Petrocelli. She was the proud grandmother of Shannon Melton, Carrie Melton, Shelby Melton, John Petrocelli, Laura Petrocelli and Thomas D. Petrocelli. She was also the proudest great-grandmother of Mack, Madison, and Memphis.
Doris was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Daniel and Marie Healey. As an active and devoted servant of God, Doris received her Master’s degree in Theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary in New York. Her career was one of ministry, serving as Director of Religious Education in the dioceses of Rockville Centre, New York and Orlando, Florida. She was an avid reader of mysteries, histories, theology, and enjoyed traveling.
A mass celebrating her life will be held at 10am, on Tuesday, May 19th at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Titusville, FL.
