

Harry Lee Wells of Mims, Florida passed away at the age of 88 on August 18, 2024. Harry is survived by his children, Brenda Anderson (Robert) of Rockledge, Brian Wells of New Smyrna, and Becky Moulton (Douglas) of Merritt Island and sister Judy Rutledge (Steve) of Griffin, Indiana. His grandchildren, Justin Wells of Mims, Trevor Wells (Rebecca Polo) of Rockledge, Kathryn Gravenstein (Nikolaus) of Tampa, Troy Moulton of St. Petersburg, and his great grandchildren, Nikolaus Gravenstein, Cooper Wells and Wesley Wells. Harry was predeceased by his loving wife of more than 60 years, LaVerne Wells, parents Harry and Mildred Wells and sister Janice Brenner.
Harry was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana and moved to Mims, Florida in 1971. Prior to moving to Florida, Harry had a career as a Field Manager for Pioneer Seed Company. He spent the remainder of his working career in Florida as the Owner/Operator of Wells Service Station also located in Mims. Everyone who lived in Mims during the duration of his business knew Harry. He was a friend to everyone and was kind and compassionate which was appreciated by many in Mims, individuals and businesses.
Harry spent much of his time at work, working 6 days a week. When he wasn’t working, he spent his spare time focusing on his family. Harry loved sports and watching all his grandchildren play sports. Through all the years, he hardly ever missed a sporting event they participated in. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and would love to spend time with his lifelong friends and family in Indiana on fishing trips.
A visitation for Harry will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953 with a funeral service immediately following.
A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring St, Cocoa, FL 32927.
