

He was born February 26, 1938, in Cordele, Georgia to the late Homer and Annie Mae Fletcher. John loved spending time with his family, fishing with family and friends, coaching ball, and watching western shows on TV. He worked as an electrician for his career. He began his career in 1959 with Rockledge Electric in Cocoa, Florida, and soon after joined International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 606, where he was a member for 62 years. John served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Frontenac Baptist Church.
John is survived and missed by his loving wife Mabel Warren Fletcher of 66 wonderful years and his children, Jason (Julie), Brenda (Cindy), and Melinda (Rick). He will forever be remembered by his four grandchildren, Jessica (Matt), Jared (Courtney), Jamie, Jacob; several great grandchildren; one sister, Linda Slates of Concord, North Carolina. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, visitation will be at 10:00 am at Frontenac Baptist Church with services to follow at 11am. Church address is as follows: 5500 N. US 1 Cocoa, Florida 32927. Brevard Memorial Funeral Home will be providing the service.
Following the interment, please join the family in fellowship at the church Fellowship Hall.
