Jesse James McCarty

Jesse departed this life for his eternal rest Saturday April 16, 2016 at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge, FLorida.

Jesse was born in Ironton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Della (Jenkins) McCarty; brothers Eric McCarty and John McCarty and his sisters Ann Stephenson, Shirley Lemaster and Gloria McCarty.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories -his wife of 52 years - Nikki McCarty; two daughters -Gail Johnston of Altamonte Springs, Florida and Lori Moore (and her husband Reggie) of Merritt Island, Florida; one sister - Wanda DeLong of Venice Florida; a brother - Eugene McCarty(and wife Denise); one Grandson -Tony Johnston( and Ashley); two great granddaughters - Chelsea and Chloe Johnston and also many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jesse worked many years before retiring as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed going to church, fishing, softball, basketball and spending time with his family. He was a retired member of Ohio Laborers Association and Heavy Equipment Operators Union and was a member of Victory Baptist Church on Capron Road Port St. John, FL.

A visitation will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday April 19, 2016 from 5-7 pm and a funeral service will take place Wednesday at 11:00 am. Services will conclude in the chapel.
