Lorene was born to the late Melvin Fuller and Betty Brooks on October 14th, 1950 in Waynesville, Missouri with her twin sister Raylene. She graduated from Plato High School in 1968.
Lorene is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years Wallace Lemons; two daughters from her first marriage, Heather Carter and husband Dane, and Elizabeth Hannigan of the home; two bonus-daughters, Michelle Boothe and husband Danny, and Marji Parsons; her sisters Raylene Krympec and husband Joe, and Louise Yoder and friend Jerry Eckert; her grandchildren Megan Boothe, Derek Boothe, Lola Carter, and Rylie Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lorene worked as a teachers aid around many of the schools in Brevard County including Saturn Elementary where she was in the pre-k program. Her face would light up when she would run into former students she had taught. She loved to do things with her hands and had taken up painting, crocheting, piano, and had been an accomplished cake decorator. Lorene loved to crochet baby blankets and clothes for family and friends and had a big heart for animals. She also enjoyed fishing in both the Missouri lakes and the ocean. She loved to travel with her family and had recently come back from a trip to Spain. Other recent destinations included Scotland, England, Netherlands, Germany, Alaska, Italy, Hawaii, France, and Ireland. Lorene was a good cook, loved to can, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She loved to watch cooking competitions and Judge Judy in her spare time. Lorene had also been a volunteer with the American Legions Auxiliary. She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and an extensive collection of coffee mugs and Tupperware lids.
