Margaret Mary McGovern

Margaret was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and former registered nurse whose warmth, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her. Her years as a nurse reflected her lifelong dedication to caring for others, a compassion she carried into every part of her life. Family was the heart of her world, and she took immense pride in each generation she helped nurture.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth McGovern and Christopher (Colleen) McGovern; her grandchildren, Kristen Beekman, Kalvin Finch, Zowie and Zaina Waldo, Zabrina and Zophia McGovern; and her great-grandchildren, Paisley, Sage, and Oakley. She also leaves behind her siblings, Edward F. and Marian Silva.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Rose and Edward P. Silva, and by her brother Francis Silva.

Margaret’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply. Her kindness, resilience, generous spirit, and lifelong dedication to caring for others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home 1360 N. Courtenay Parkway Merritt Island, FL on December 20, 2025, at 10:00 am.
