She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 1, 1933 to Leonard and Phyllis Gerhardt. Patricia met her husband Jean J. Britz in Detroit, where they married in 1954. They moved to Cocoa in 1960 where they raised their 5 children.
Patricia worked for Sears in their service center in Cocoa for 31 years. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed doing crafts and sewing projects for her home. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved having her kids and grandkids near her and having all the family gatherings at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Jean, her sons, Mark and Neil, her daughters, Susan and Pamela (spouse, Paul Cason), her daughter-in-law, Valerie and her grandchildren Stephanye and Austin, all whom she loved and cherished with all her heart. Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Keith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home.
