Reinalda was born on September 7, 1935, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and she lived a life marked by kindness and faith. She was wholly devoted to her family and enjoyed nothing more than gatherings of her children, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends; the large extended family that meant everything to her. She was a second mom to many. Her love of BINGO and the New York Yankees was a constant source of fun and good-natured humor.
Reinalda cherished her family deeply. She is survived by siblings Pedro S. Vega and his wife Carmen Vega, Lucy Vega, Sylvia Vega and Esther Campbell, and Sister-in-law Lulu Vega, along with her children Nancy Cross and her husband Greg Cross, Nilsa Santiago, and Bruno Bini. She was a proud grandparent to Jean-Paul Murphy and his wife Linsey Murphy, Carla Murphy and her partner Brett Marshall, Victoria Bini, and Halen Bini and great-grandmother to Eveyn Bini and Kalina Murphy. Along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces too many to mention, but they were always in her heart. She was predeceased by her mother, Natividad Collazo, father Santiago Vega, and siblings Angelica Torres, Carlos Vega, Benjamin Vega, and Lina Cruz.
To her family and everyone who knew her, Reinalda was a source of joy and love, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
A service honoring Reinalda's life will be held on December 13th, 1:30PM, at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home at 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories. Donations may be made to hospice.
May her memory be a blessing.
